In order to encourage local students to become involved with space science and engineering, the Society of Women Engineers (SWE) is hosting the Bourns Space Science and Engineering Day

What will happen at the Bourns Space Science and Engineering Day event?
There will be selected activities for students and they will have the opportunity to meet engineering students and participate in hands on activities. Through interactive activities will be able to experience the creativity and innovation that occurs in space science and engineering. We will also haveseveral special guest speakers.

How can I help?
Together, we have the opportunity to encourage local students to become better informed about space science and engineering. Volunteers are vital to our success. You don't have to be an engineer to participate. You have your choice on how you want to be involved, even if you only have a limited amount of time. Shifts can vary/times can be flexible. We will supply materials and activity directions. All you have to do is bring your enthusiasm!

You can help by:

Coming to the event and supervising an activity
Helping with registration, snacks, setting up rooms and wrap-up
You must attend the training day to be a volunteer at SSED. If you have any conflicts with the date of training, please contact SWE @ [email protected]
