For our finale, we bring you music inspired by Scandinavia, “Land of the Midnight Sun” — from the national pride of Finlandia to the melancholy folk melodies of Stravinsky’s Four Norwegian Moods and Cantus Arcticus with its use of recorded birdsong and sense of wide-open spaces. We close with JENNIFER KOH and the Sibelius Violin Concerto, a major concerto played by a major talent on today’s classical scene.
