Boston's Best Magician Dazzles at Orpheum Theatre in Foxboro February 22, 2011

Mike Bent, voted Boston's Best Children's Entertainer by Nickelodeon(TM) and 'Best Magician' by Boston Magazine, will bring his award-winning show, Abrakidabra, to the Orpheum Theatre in Foxboro in February.

Performing on Tuesday, February 22nd as part of the Orpheum Theatre in Foxboro's Winter Vacation Series, Mike Bent and Abrakidabra blend the worlds of magic and comedy in a side-splitting, interactive show that delights kids of all ages.

By the time he graduated from Emerson College, Bent performed his original magic and comedy routines at clubs and colleges throughout the United States, as well as performed at the prestigious Montreal Comedy Festival, on HBO, Showtime, ABC, NBC, CBS, Comedy Central and A&E. Bent has also taught professional comedy writing at Emerson College for more than 18 years.

After becoming a father in 1992, Bent dedicated himself to providing quality children's entertainment. Bent quickly established himself as one of the top kids' show performers in the United States, and his books, products and lectures have become the standard for the industry.

Since 2005, Bent has also been invited to perform alongside JK Rowling, Justin Bieber, the cast of Glee, Fergie, The Imagination Movers, Ziggy Marley, animal expert Jack Hanna and the Disney Channel's Aly & A.J. at the White House for the Annual White House Easter Egg Roll, where he entertained over 30,000 guests. In 2009, Bent published his first book, The Everything Guide to Comedy Writing.

The February Winter Vacation Series features a fantastic array of performers and movies, including Yo-Yo World Champion and America's Got Talent contestant John Higby on February 23rd, and movies on February 21st and 24th.
