Boston Twestival 2009 February 12, 2009

On 12 February 2009 100+ cities around the world will be hosting Twestivals which bring together Twitter communities for an evening of fun and to raise money and awareness for charity: water.

1 in 6 human beings are without fresh drinking water. Many live within drilling distance of fresh water with no way to access it. A well costs between $4,000 and $12,000 USD.

Our goal is to raise awareness of the problem and also to raise the funds to build wells across the globe. We know this is an economically challenging time, but every dollar helps.
