The Boston Modern Orchestra Project (BMOP), the nation's leading orchestra dedicated exclusively to performing, commissioning, and recording new music,
hones its brass, winds, and percussion constituents as part of its BAND IN BOSTON program at Jordan Hall, Friday, January 22, 2010. The second of three instrument-specific performances this season, BAND IN BOSTON spotlights works by Percy Grainger, Harold Meltzer, Wayne Peterson, Joseph Schwantner, and Igor Stravinsky, with guest pianist Ursula Oppens and guest saxophonists, the PRISM Quartet.
