Open Mike and Amateur Comics compete for an $800-1st place prize and a
$200-2nd place prize and a booking at each of the Dick Doherty Comedy
Clubs and at GOTHAM COMEDY CLUB NYC. Contest will be held Thursday nights
beginning JUNE 9th at Dick's Beantown Comedy Vault.
10 comics will compete each week for 4 weeks followed by a semi final. Then 2 more rounds of weekly competitions
each Semi final prizes will be $75, $50, & $25.
All comics who have performed in at least 1 Open Mike Night
at any comedy club and made no more than a $100 average per month for doing comedy for the past 6 months will be eligible for entry.
Judging will be by 2 industry and media judges and the audience. Voting will be on a scale
of 1 to 5 by each judge for each comic. The comics with the highest 2 totals from the 2 judges & Audience votes will win 1st & 2nd place.

Show tickets are $15.
Entrance fee for contestants is $35.

Chris traces his roots back to the infamous Ding Ho with Lenny Clark, Barry Crimmins, Stephen Wright and the birth of the Boston Comedy Club scene. Chris has appeared on MTV, Showtime, Comedy Central, USA Network and Comcast on Demand. He is the former Co-Host on the very popular 103.3 Morning Drive Team -Zito and Karen Black and has been in Radio for over 20 years. His hilarious delivery and observational insights keep you laughing long after the show has ended.
Dick's Beantown Comedy Vault 18+ comedy shows 7 days a week.
Dane Cook had a show here every Friday for 2 years in the 90's. Located on Boylston St. between "Gypsy Bar" and "The Alley".

I have been an entertainer/comedian all my life and have had many clubs throughout New Engand some big, some not so big. The Vault is 85 seats the perfect size. We present National and Local Headliner and the very best of the next set of National Stars to come out of Boston. Dane Cook, Bill Burr, Joe Rogan, Robert Kelly and so many more started there careers her. We are very proud of what we do here.
