Three great bands at Siberia.

The Meanderthals - this is one of Mike Gamble's projects and flat out avant-jazz tour de force. Not to be missed/messed with.

Talibam! - Starring Matt Mottel, Ed Bear, and the post-postmodern Faust of percussion: Kevin Shea (Storm and Stress, Coptic Light, People, New York 69 and more). You will need some kind of protection for this set. That's all I'll say.

Bosola - post post rock meets the avant garde. If Sonic Youth started out today and none of the members were born in America.

Have you been to Siberia? It ain't purdy. And neither is the truth. It's all rawk n holler, all the time. You need to wash your stainless steel-condo-latte-chihuahua lifestyle out of your bedhead hair and live a little.

Siberia. Take the A/C/E or 2/3 to 42nd St and walk a few blocks over to 356 W. 40th at 9th. It's the black door with the red light.

9 - The Meanderthals
