From Paris, France: DJ ZEBRA presents "Bootstock Live" --
A special mashup set celebrating the 40th anniversary of Woodstock

This week marks the 40th anniversary of Woodstock, so to celebrate, DJ ZEBRA -- direct from Paris, France -- will be presenting "Bootstock Live," a special set of bootleg mashup remixes from the Woodstock soundtrack, mashed up with current electro and dance music. The hippies in the '60s never imagined their music sounding like this! He'll also be tossing flowers -- and more importantly, free Bootstock CDs – out to the crowd. Come on out to celebrate an hour-long set of peace and music!

11 PM: Award-winning mashup band SMASH-UP DERBY
with special guest appearance from DJ Zebra

Thanks to your votes, Bootie's very own house band, SMASH-UP DERBY, was just awarded "Best Cover Band" in the SF Bay Guardian's "Best of the Bay Readers Poll 2009." Thank you to everyone who voted! They'll be living up to their hard-earned reputation when they hit the stage at 11 PM. And this Saturday, they'll be joined for a song or two by special guest DJ Zebra. This will be Zebra's third time playing with the band, and they promise to reprise their mashup collaboration "Jerk The Casbah," which mashes up The Clash with The Caesars.

Midnight Mashup Show: KERI HANNA as BEYONCÉ

This Saturday, we are happy to welcome KERI HANNA back to the Bootie stage, as she channels her inner (and outer) Beyoncé for a Midnight Mashup Show performance of the "Single Ladies" video ... only this time, it's Party Ben's "Single Ladies (In Mayberry)!" Don't miss it!

Launched in 2003 in San Francisco by DJs Adrian & the Mysterious D, Bootie was the first club night in the United States dedicated solely to the burgeoning artform of the bootleg mashup -- and is now the biggest mashup event in the world, with monthly parties in eight cities on three continents. Mixing and matching every conceivable musical genre, era, and style into one big dance party where everyone feels welcome, Bootie provides the soundtrack for the A.D.D. generation -- with free mashup CDs given away like candy!

Bootie's DJs and house band Smash-Up Derby, as well as guest mashup DJs from around the world, keep your brain guessing and body dancing with creative song combinations, celebrating -- and satirizing -- the many different forms of music. Bootie also presents the infamous Midnight Mashup Show, featuring local drag and burlesque performers. Bootie showcases the best mashup productions from around the globe ... because one song at a time just isn't enough!
