One night only! Live mashup rock band SMASHMOBILE

For one night only, Bootie NYC is moving downstairs to Crash Mansion, which is known primarily as a live music venue. So to take advantage of this unique situation, Adrian Roberts, the lead singer of San Francisco's Smash-Up Derby -- the world's first mashup rock band -- has put together a New York-based mashup rock band with local NYC musicans that they're calling SMASHMOBILE.

They'll be doing a live set with mashups such as Franz Ferdinand vs. Talking Heads, Madonna vs. the Sex Pistols, and classics such as "Smells Like BIllie Jean" (Nirvana vs. Michael Jackson) which inspired this month's Bootie flyer!

Bringing the live element into this DJ dance party will make this event something special ... This is one show you won't want to miss!

From Bootie Black Rock City, guest DJ MALDEROR joins residents ADRIAN & the MYSTERIOUS D

If you've ever been to one of the Bootie BRC parties at the annual desert freak-fest Burning Man, then you probably already know DJ MALDEROR, who can throw down the best mashup set you've ever heard ... in the middle of a raging duststorm! This month, he joins residents ADRIAN & the MYSTERIOUS D on the decks in New York, as the trio take turns bringing the mashups to the dance floor at Crash Mansion!

For those New Yorkers who go to Burning Man, this night promises to get you primed for this year on the playa, bringing together the Fandango Village – one of Burning Man's longest-running theme camps – with Funk Camp, one of Burning Man's most successful live music venues – with Bootie, the worldwide mashup club phenomenon.

ABOUT BOOTIE:

Launched in 2003, Bootie was the first club night in the United States dedicated solely to the burgeoning artform of the bootleg mashup -- and is now the biggest mashup event in the world, with monthly parties in eight cities on three continents. Mixing and matching every conceivable musical genre, era, and style into one big dance party where everyone feels welcome, Bootie provides the soundtrack for the A.D.D. generation -- with free mashup CDs given away like candy!

Bootie's resident DJs keep your brain guessing and body dancing with creative song combinations, celebrating -- and satirizing -- the many different forms of music. Guest mashup DJs from around the world are featured, as well as the infamous midnight mashup show, showcasing the best mashup productions from around the globe ... because one song at a time just isn't enough!
