Come celebrate Independence Day at Fair Park. You’ll enjoy free admission to Fair Park museums from 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM, free live music, and a fireworks show at dusk.

This year, Texas Discovery Gardens will open at 10 AM and offer free admission all day. Come out early to hear live music, register for free prizes and enjoy our beautiful organic gardens. See the progress on our brand new, two-story Rosine Smith Sammons Butterfly House and Insectarium – Grand Opening will be Sept. 12, 2009.

Bring a lawn blanket and come early for best seating. Fireworks begin around 8:45 PM. Music starts at 4 PM.

Music schedule (all music is family friendly):
Fireworks / Patriotic music 8:15 – end of fireworks show
Chin’s Mojo onstage at 7 PM (Indie rock)
Brian and The Metrotones onstage at 6 PM (Polka and rock)
Jeremy Miller onstage at 5 PM (Texas country and rock)
Bill Martin onstage at 4 PM (Acoustic guitar and voice)

Lorynn The Redhead performs at the Hall entrance at 6 PM (Acoustic guitar and voice).

About Chin’s Mojo (featured performer):
Chin’s Mojo is a popular Dallas-based rock band. The band has performed at large venues such as Dallas City Arts, Baylor/Sammons Cancer Center Benefit, Arlington Street Festival and Quinlan’s Music Under The Stars. Chin’s Mojo has won several Battle of the Bands events, and is a regular performer in Deep Ellum. The band performs original music and is well known throughout the North Texas music community.
