On Saturday, DECEMBER 13 AT 12:30 pm-2pm, African Voices will host a holiday book signing for Deborah Willis, the co-author of Obama: The Historic Campaign in Photographs (HarperCollins, Hardcover: $26.95). The book signing will serve as an opening ceremony for African Voices annual Cultural Circle Conference, a forum for writers and visual artists. The event will be held at African Voices, 270 W. 96th Street (between Broadway & West End Ave.). The book signing is FREE and open to the public. At 5:30 pm, the Circle will close with a special FREE presentation of Director Allison Bonner Shillingford’s short documentary In Our Lifetime, a film inspired by Barack Obama’s successful presidential campaign.
