Inspired by the continued success of Books Alive, local educators, Books Alive event director, Bettina Mead, and representatives from Bay District Schools have put together the first annual Books Alive Youth. The event features four authors whose varied books encompass many topics relevant to today’s teens and tweens. From local favorite Adrian Fogelin to Southern fiction writer Kerry Madden, there’s a book for everyone.

The festivities include a question and answer panel with the four authors at the Bay County Public Library on West 11th Street in Panama City on Thursday April 15. Julianna Baggott Crissa Jean Chappell, Adrian Fogelin, and Kerry Madden will be available to take questions from the audience about what inspires them, what it takes to publish a book and more. This FREE event is open to the public at 6:30-8:00 PM.

200 students and 42 teachers from local schools have been chosen to attend the workshop division of the festival, featuring classes with the writers. The students, each representing a particular school, were chosen for their reading achievements.

Come join in the fun with the Books Alive Youth Q&A!
