Book Arts League Open House and Sale followed by… Book Arts League Movie Night co-sponsored by ScriptaLab Presents: Helvetica February 4, 2012

Come visit the Ewing Farm, home of the Book Arts League, for Letterpress demonstrations and refreshments. Watch the presses in action, participate in book arts demos, shop for gifts, meet members of the BAL. The Book Arts League will have their Open House and Sale from 12:00 to 3:00, followed by the first ever Movie Night from 3:30-5:30.

Come join your friends and fellow book arts lovers at the first ever book arts movie night. We'll be projecting a classic movie that covers some of the most interesting aspects of the book arts and related fields. This time we'll be showing Helvetica, "Helvetica is a feature-length independent film about typography, graphic design and global visual culture. It looks at the proliferation of one typeface (which recently celebrated its 50th birthday in 2007) as part of a larger conversation about the way type affects our lives.
