Bonsai at the Garden Tour October 31, 2009

This fall, the Garden features two exhibitions of Japanese plants: 'Momijigari: The Japanese Autumn Garden' in the Conservatory courtyard and a display of bonsai from the Yama Ki Bonsai Society inside the Conservatory. On this tour, join Bernard Gastrich of the Yama Ki Bonsai Society for a look at the ancient Japanese art of miniaturizing mature shrubs and trees to create living sculptures.
