Bon Scott Tribute & Fundraiser for Breast Cancer patient February 22, 2008

BON SCOTT TRIBUTE PARADE

To honour the former AC/DC lead singer and legend Bon Scott, Aussie Rock Concerts will be unveiling a bronze statue in Perth on Sunday 24th of February 2008. In conjunction with the unveiling, local original rock band Lost Saints, will be holding an official tribute parade to Bon Scott through the streets of Fremantle on Saturday the 23rd of February 2008. Between the hours of 12pm and 1pm, Lost Saints will play on the back of a truck through the streets of Fremantle, playing the ACDC classic “Long Way to the Top”, with bagpipe players from the Cockburn Bagpipe band.

The Bon Scott Tribute Parade will start from Fremantle train station and finish at the Newport Hotel. At the completion of the tribute parade, Lost Saints will headline in a showcase of bands who have all donated their time for a Fundraising show at the Newport Hotel. This show will raise money for a young lady who has terminal breast cancer - Juantia Rosenthal. Tickets will be $10 and 100% of all ticket sales will be donated to Juantia to help towards alleviating the financial burden of the breast cancer treatment. The Charity Fundraiser will run from 1pm to 5pm. Tickets will be available at the door or by contacting Lost Saints direct.

Lost Saints is a 5 piece original rock band from Perth, Western Australia. Each member has brought with them a wide variety of music influences. Lost Saints has combined these influences as well as their own style and flair to create an explosive high energy rock and roll experience. Lost Saints will also be releasing their first single on the day.

A Classic line-up of Australian hard rock legends including Rose Tattoo, The Angels, Noiseworks, Dave Hole and The Screaming Jets will support The Party Boys all star line up playing all of the Bon Scott era AC/DC classics and their own hits. Come witness this hard rock celebration and of course the unveiling of the statue of the legend !!
