The Mayor of Bolton, Councillor John Byrne will host this the town's Armed Forces Day and Commando Run event commencing at 10am with a special service from the Town Hall steps led by the Vicar of Bolton.

Come along and enjoy all the special displays and challanges by Bolton's Sea, Army and Air Cadets plus a special parade with the 'Walmington On Sea' Homeguard. Bolton Children's Amateur Theatre and St Peter and Paul's school will be entertaining the crowds with war time songs and Bolton FM Radio will be with us all day.

Lots of military vehicles on display - from the 1940s to current day.

Come along and cheer on the police, army, fire service and mountain rescue men and women who will be taking part in a special Commando Run race - all will be wearing 30lb rucksacks and wearing boots!! They'll arrive in Victoria Square around 2pm and are raising money for Help for Heroes by getting themselves sponsored.

The Mayor of Bolton looks forward to seeing everyone in Victoria Square on the 26th June for this special day.
