Boi Choi - An evening with Songs of Nagorik and Teerjak by Ayna. Crossword ( Residency Road,Bangalore) in association with Ridhdhi, a non -profit charitable trust host a Bengali play Tirjok - by Ayena ( A third theatre group from Kolkata ) and songs by Bangalore based Bengali band Nagorik.Fresh stock of books are available. The intent is to create more than a just a section dedicated to Bangla books - it is also to develop a creative space for the `Probashi' Bengalis. Writers, musicians, filmakers from Bengal as well as local talent will be invited from time to time for live performances and interactive sessions.About Ayna: About Ayna: Founded in 1988, by a group young people- Ayna believes in communicating through theatre. Rather than people coming to watch their play,went to the people with their kind of theater The Third Theatre.Since then Ayna has been performing in fields, streets, railway platforms, courtyards of schools, parks and on sea beaches also, wherever people are there. Ayena is fortunate enough to have had mentors like Badal Sarkar, Richard Shekner, Khalid Tyabji, Marcel Marceau, Tapas Sen.About Nagorik: Nagorik was formed by a group of music lovers in Bangalore . They believe that music quintessentially is urban in sensibility yet universal in appeal transending the barrier of the Bengali language. Most of the members do not live off music but pursue it as a passion outside work. Nagorikwill present some popular Bengali numbers and and some of their originals.
