A night for automatic lovers of deep, electronic music from the outer reaches of Chicago house music and Detroit techno, to the deepest sounds of Berlin and everything in between.
Bohemian Grove welcome one of Chicago's new breed, Hakim Murphy. As a Chicago Footwork dancer in the 90s, Hakim was inspired to play records, taking influence from the likes of Larry Heard, Robert Armani, Dance Mania, Relief and Cajual Records. Hakim heads up his own Machining Dreams imprint which has a reputation for consistently dropping slick house and techno releases. His sound ranges from deep and sparse, soulful grooves right through to solid, heavy acid music. As a DJ Hakim is exceptional, playing marathon vinyl sets without ever letting the vibe drop.
