Tessel strolls up to the microphone with the casualness of walking into his own living room. Within seconds of his arrival on stage, he has captured the crowd and squired them away into an atmosphere of comfortableness. "The other day I won fifty dollars in the instant lottery," he tells the group in understated fashion, "which was very exciting, y'know, so, I quit my job." Moving from subject to subject, his coolness belies the tangential state of topics. In addition to appearances on "Friday Night" on NBC and comedy specials on A&E and CBS, Bobby is one of only a few comics to appear on both "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" and "The Late Show with David Letterman."
