The seasonal Broadway musical, Elf, based on the film of the same name, sports a charming book co-written by Canadian Bob Martin (The Drowsy Chaperone) and Thomas Meehan (Annie, The Producers, and Hairspray). Elf follows the adventures of a young man named Buddy, played in the show’s current Broadway incarnation by Sebastian Arcelus, who grew up in the North Pole believing that he is one of Santa’s elves. When his adoptive father reveals that he is actually human, Buddy heads to New York City to find his real family.
