Bob Edwards reception, National Press Club member recruitment event October 11, 2007

Award-winning journalist and XM Satellite Radio host
Bob Edwards will make brief remarks at a National
Press Club reception on Thurs., Oct. 11 at 6:30 pm.

The free event is open to journalists and other
professional communicators interested in exploring NPC
membership. RSVP's are required. For more information,

attend. During the reception, tours of the
new Broadcast Operations Center will also be given.

The National Press Club, preparing to celebrate its
centennial in 2008, has launched a membership drive
for the month of October. The club is waiving
initiation fees for new applicants in October. That
means a savings of up to $350.

Membership in the club is open to active journalists,
former journalists, government information officers,
and to those considered by journalists to be regular
news sources.

Discounted parking is available nearby at PMI Garage,
1325 G. St. Parking stamps may be purchased from the
NPC front desk for $5.
