Boards.ie Darts Tournament February 10, 2007

"We are pleased to announce that the first ever Boards.ie Darts Tournamnet will be held on Saturday the 10th of February in the Silver Tassie Pub, Loughlinstown. The Tournament will start at 1pm.

This will be a great chance for members of Boards to come along and meet each other while enjoying a great game of darts. It should be a great day out that will guarantee great craic for all who come along.

Tournament Format

First of all, players of any standard are welcome. Whether you average 100 or if you're lucky to hit the board, your still welcome to come along and play. This will be a fun day out for all and it will not be a super serious tournament. If your nervous about your standard of play then there is no better place to come along, play a few games, and meet other players who will give you tips on how to improve your game

Entrance to the tournament will cost €10. This money will be used as the prize money for the tournament. We will be using a Round Robin format, which will ensure that all players will play a number of matches and thus giving them value for their money. Prizes will be given out for the winning players but also for the losing players as well, giving all players a chance of winning a prize. Hopefully we will have a number of spot prizes available on the day as well for various darting achievements!

The Venue

The Silver Tassie pub is located on the Bray Road in Loughlinstown, Co. Dublin. It is served by the M50 and N11 if anybody wishes to drive to the venue, but it is also served by the 145, 45 and 84 Dublin Bus routes which all serve from the City Centre. It takes approx one hour to get to the venue from the City Centre.

We are renting out the function room in the Tassie for this event. The owner has kindly said that he will put up a number of dart boards for us to use. We are also hoping to have a selection of food available for people on the day.

How to Enter

If you would like to play in this tournament then please reply to this thread or to the other Tournament thread which can be found in the darts forum at http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2055041810. Non-Players are also welcome to attend and enjoy the day out. There will be no fee for non-players.

I hope to see many of you at this tournament. We will be playing some darts but we also be doing the other thing darts players do best, drinking pints! So come along and enjoy the day out. You never know, you could become the first ever Boards.ie Darts Champion!"
