An evening of laughter to benefit local non-profit organizations.

The Bovine Metropolis Theater presents “Comedy for a Cause” to benefit The Freedom Fund.

The show will be BMX - The Bovine Metropolis eXperience on June 4, 2009. Tickets for the event are only $16 with proceeds going to The Freedom Fund.
The Freedom Fund is a social justice program of the First Universalist Church of Denver. It was established in 1984 in response to a vote by Colorado citizens that ended Medicaid funding for abortions. The Freedom Fund seeks to ensure that all women have equal access to reproductive options and are empowered to exercise their right for reproductive self-determination. Our work is based on the principles of freedom, equality and the right to choose.

The Freedom Fund provides unbiased information, resource referrals and emotional support to women facing a crisis pregnancy. We also provide financial assistance to low-income women who decide to end a pregnancy. Our clients include mothers who cannot bear additional financial and emotional stress upon their family, victims of domestic abuse or rape and women who lack adequate information and access to pregnancy prevention resources. Supporting The Freedom Fund helps provide low-income women with access to safe and legal health-care options - empowering them to make informed decisions about their bodies and their futures.
