The SPBGMA (Society for the Preservation of Bluegrass Music of America) inducted singer-songwriter Aubrey Holt into its Preservation Hall of Greats. Some may remember Aubrey from the band "The Boys From Indiana". Aubrey is one of the most renowned songwriters in bluegrass music today with songs recorded by artists such as The Grascals, Alison Krauss, Blue Highway, Longview, Cherryholmes, and many others. His song “The Sad Wind Sighs” recorded by The Grascals, with Vince Gill, was nominated for “Recorded Event of the Year” at the 2009 IBMA Awards. His songs "Atlanta Is Burning" and "Listen to My Hammer Ring" are bluegrass standards. And in 2010 he was nominated for BLUEGRASS SONGWRITER OF THE YEAR at the 36th Annual SPBGMA Bluegrass Music Awards in Nashville.
