Blue October, Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, and Stars of Track & Field will perform at the House of Blues Boston on April 14 in the 10th Anniversary Reason to Live benefit concert. It is one of the shows in the Pick Up the Phone Suicide Prevention Tour, a national 24-city tour created to educate the public about suicide prevention and raise money for suicide prevention services. Proceeds from the tour will benefit the Kristin Brooks Hope Center’s new IMAlive initiative, the world’s first virtual crisis center. It will launch with a network of 5,000 certified volunteer responders.
The Reason to Live concert in Boston is set apart from the other dates on the tour in that is larger, has multiple bands, and continues a 10-year long tradition of raising money through music. The Reason to Live concert will continue to be an annual event targeting the stigmas associated with mental illness and suicide.

Blue October lead singer Justin Furstenfeld’s personal struggle with depression and suicidal thoughts lead to the band’s connection with the Kristin Brooks Hope Center and the Reason to Live Concert. The concert is co-sponsored by To Write Love on Her Arms and PostSecret, and will be held on Wednesday, April 14 at the House of Blues Boston. Doors are at 7 p.m. and the show begins at 8 p.m. Tickets are $25-$35; VIP tickets are $150 and include a ticket to the concert, a Reason to Live or Pick Up The Phone Tour t-shirt, a To Write Love on Her Arms hoodie, a PostSecret book signed by founder Frank Warren, a Journey t-shirt signed by the band from the original Reason to Live concert in 2000, a meet and greet in the Foundation Room with the bands and founders of To Write Love on Her Arms and the Kristin Brooks Hope Center, a signed vinyl from Blue October, a signed Journey t-shirt from the original Reason to Live concert, and valet parking.
