Blackbird by David Harrower, presented by The Guild Theater August 16, 2010

The Guild Theater is pleased to announce its upcoming production of Blackbird by David Harrower. This controversial drama, which received its Chicago premier at Victory Gardens in 2009, concerns the brief encounter between a young woman and a middle-aged man. The play is a probing, unsettling exploration of love and desire, revenge and punishment.
Blackbird features Guild company members Cassandra Cushman and David Schaplowsky, along with Marissa Meo, and is directed by Artistic Director Daniel Scott. Performances will be at 8pm, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, August 16-18 and 23-25 at Stage Left Theatre, 3408 N. Sheffield, Chicago, IL. The box office will open at 7:30 on the days of the performance.
