Third Wednesday Meet the Author Series
John and Jean Silverwood are first-time authors of an exhilarating true-life adventure. They bought a sailboat named Emerald Jane, left their jobs, packed up their four children, and embarked on an epic journey beginning in 2003 that took them half way around the world. They share their story of self-discovery and survival. The family has been featured in several publications including Reader’s Digest, National Geographic Adventure, Elle and USA Today. They were most recently featured in a one-hour special on “CBS 48 HOURS” entitled; “Lived to Tell, Black Wave.” The Silverwoods live in North County San Diego with their four children Ben, Amelia, Jack, and Camille.
