Today we honor the achievements of African-Americans with special activities. Check out our special wall exhibition to learn about famous African-Americans from the past and present. Discover some of the inventions made by African-Americans, like the ice cream scoop, at our interactive "inventor's table." Jazz music will be playing in the Art Studio throughout the day where you can make collage pictures in the style of Romare Bearden and add to our community quilt. At 11 am, storytelling with Ayodele, Muriel Johnson, and African dance, music and drumming by Jiji la Watoto at 3pm.
