In the late 18th and early 19th centuries, Frontier Kentucky was a focus of early Catholic leadership in America. Bellarmine University’s Father Clyde Crews traces the Catholic Church’s history in Kentucky, including profiles of some of its leading personalities. He also discusses accounts of Catholics in Louisville’s early history, framed against the backdrop of other early churches in the community.
