FREE Community Event at the Loveless Cafe Continues to Provide Fun for the Whole Family in its Third Year
Nashville, Tenn.—September 20, 2007— Loveless Cafe will host its third annual Biscuits & Bluegrass, on Saturday, October 13 from 10 AM to 6 PM. For the past two years, thousands have flooded the Loveless property to enjoy this FREE event that celebrates community and tradition. There are many activities for all ages to enjoy at this year’s event including pumpkin decorating and carving, face painting, apple bobbing, a biscuit eating competition, miniature horse buggy rides, a moonwalk, pottery throwing, kid’s jewelry making, a sensational sidewalk sale at Ruthie Cherry Fine Art, impromptu “pickin’ parties” (be sure to bring your instruments), a cash bar for adults, and of course biscuit samples for everyone! Not to mention the live music featuring Chris Jones & the Night Drivers at 11AM and 3PM (http://www.chrisjonesband.com), Special Consensus at 1PM and 4PM(http://www.specialconsensus.com/), and the Mark Newton Band at 2PM and 5PM (http://www.marknewtonband.com/). Most recently appearing on Late Night with Conan O’Brien, Carol Fay, “The Biscuit Lady,” will also stop by to say hello and autograph copies of “Southern Country Cooking from the Loveless Cafe.”
Don’t forget all the wonderful shops to browse in between the day’s activities including Shimai, Ruthie Cherry Fine Art, Curious Heart Emporium, Trace Bikes, Atelier and Hams & Jams Country Market (visit http://www.lovelesscafe.com/ for more information on the shops). All the motel shops will host special activities or sales throughout the day.

In the midst of all of the national attention the cafe receives (TODAY (NBC), Ellen DeGeneres, Martha, etc.), it is the local community that keeps the cafe’s roots firmly planted in the traditions and values in which it was founded. As a way of giving back to the community that has supported it for more than 50 years, Biscuits & Bluegrass was created. “We hope to continue to make this an enjoyable day for all ages, and to provide an event that our community can take pride in. There is no better way to celebrate the coming of fall and those around you,” says Jesse Goldstein of the Loveless Cafe.
A full schedule of the day’s activities will be released soon…
