Birthday Party and Announcement of New Names for Sea Lion Pups August 27, 2009

On August 27 at 11 a.m., the three California sea lion pups at Mystic Aquarium & Institute for Exploration will receive a special gift for their first birthday celebration – names! Throughout August, the public will submit and vote upon names for the playful pups. Celebrity judges WFSB-TV meteorologist and “Better Connecticut” co-host Scot Haney and Miss Connecticut 2009 Sharalynn Kuziak will announce the winning names during the party, which will feature cake for guests and a special fish treat for the pups.
