'Whispering Pines' is a photographic documentation of a single cafe and bar in the Mississippi prairie, portraying--through both black-and-white and color photographs-the slow decline of a storied establishment and its colorful proprietor and patrons from the mid-1970s until the cafe closed in the early 1990s. This is the final of the Ogden Museum's series of three exhibitions--the previous two were Partial to Home and Juke Joint--of Mississippi photographer Birney Imes.
