Dakotah Blue Music and Mexicali Live will present a Winter Solstice Celebration featuring Bill Miller and Special guests. Miller is a multiple award-winning, transcendent artist who "through his creative expression and personal presence" embodies an essential experience. During his prolific career, Bill Miller has earned two Grammys and seven Native American Music Awards in addition to achieving a level of artistry and humanitarian activism that includes work as a singer, songwriter, master flute player, composer, master concerto soloist with full orchestra, visual artist, and healing lecturer. A Nashville based artist, Miller has toured with diverse musicians such as Pearl Jam's Eddie Vedder, The BoDeans, Richie Havens, Arlo Guthrie, and Tori Amos. As a song writer he has written with Nanci Griffith, Peter Rowan and Kim Carnes. Miller has also collaborated with other American Indian musicians such as Robert Mirabal, Carlos Nakai and Joanne Shenandoah.
