Bilingual Poetry Slam October 14, 2009

UNR Latino Research Center is hosting the first bilingual poetry slam in Reno to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month.

A panel of 3 judges decides the overall winners based on originality, style and performance.

Poets compete for prize money plus spot and encouragement prizes:
# 1st Prize $100 cash plus an encouragement prize
# 2nd Prize $70 cash plus encouragement prize
# 3rd Prize $50 cash

You must register online (http://www.unr.edu/latinocenter/poetry.html#insc) ahead of time to perform or call us at the number 784-4010.
Last day to register is October 13th.

# Participants must be current students from Middle School, High School or NSHE (Northern Nevada System of Higher Education) Institutions.
