338 Shows of Ghalib In New Delhi; 121 shows of Maulana Azad and 119 Shows of BIG B. Pierrot’s Troupe is on a record-making spree. Of special mention is, however, BIG B – India’s first ever play in Ind-lish – a highly successful and critically acclaimed comedy, being brought to Mumbai for the third time in a year.

No it has nothing to do with Mr. Bachchan. It is concerned with Mr. Premchan(d), instead. It is the INDLISH and the dramatic version of the latter’s celebrated Hindi short-story ‘Bade Bhai Saheb’.

The first ever in ‘Ind-lish’. Highlights:

“Do not go outside, it is very nighty”. “I am well but my brother is in well”. “Knife without K is like Chaku without Cha, only Ku… Churi without Chu, only Ri..It is all about two ‘English-educated-Hindi-speaking’ brothers --- the ‘studious’ Kamta Prasad and the ‘sporty’ Samta Prasad. No wonder, the play revolves around History & Hockey, Geography & Gilli Danda and Chemistry & Cricket. And also Rekha Ganit…. Kamta’s favorite … as ‘Rekha’ is his heartthrob and the daughter of ‘Ganit’ teacher. So also Algebra, defined by Samta as “a subject on which even ‘Allah’ has no ‘Jabr’. In addition…. Well! The rest on JANUARY 25 only.
