What were they thinking? A collaboration between DC-area father-son duo Chaim and Yoshie Fruchter, Beyond the Book is an exciting exploration into the emotional subconscious of Biblical personalities. The music ranges from rough-edged rock to tearful ballad, citing influences from Elliot Smith to Steely Dan and Crosby Stills and Nash. Using catchy melodies and thought provoking lyrics, this music imagines the emotions of these figures at pivotal moments in their lives.
