Best Buddies Virginia Life Is Sweet Pastry Showcase November 18, 2008

Audi of Tysons Corner is the host and title sponsor for Best Buddies Virginia Life Is Sweet 4, a Pastry Chefs Showcase and one of the region’s most delectable fundraisers. The event takes place on Tuesday, November 18 from 7:00 until 9:30 pm at Audi of Tysons Corner (8598 Leesburg Pike, Vienna, Virginia) – the Mid-Atlantic’s largest new and pre-owned Audi dealer.

Audi, the German luxury car manufacturer, launched a major five-year partnership with Best Buddies International in 2007.

Spearheaded by Former White House Pastry Chef Roland Mesnier, the Event Co-Chair with his Buddy Chef Brenna Cannon, Life is Sweet 4 showcases spectacular desserts designed, created and presented by over 25 of the Greater Washington area’s top pastry chefs and their Buddies. All proceeds from this event benefit Best Buddies Virginia, a 501 (c)(3) not-for-profit organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of people with intellectual disabilities by providing opportunities for one-to-one friendships and integrated employment.

Individual tickets are $100.00 per person which includes a pre-showcase reception hosted by Maggiano’s and featuring wine from three Virginia vineyards, expanded silent and live auctions, and complimentary parking.

Participating Pastry Chefs in the past have included Michel Richard, Cathal Armstrong, Robert Wiedmaier, RJ Cooper, Jonathan Krinn, Naomi Gallego, Steve Klc, David Guas, Kate Jansen, Norm Messer, Patrick Bazin, Jerome Girardot and Melanie Parker.
