Multiple award winning fingerstyle guitar master Peppino D’Agostino will lead a double celebration at the Freight & Salvage Coffeehouse, when he performs there with very special guests Oct. 18. Peppino will commemorate both his birthday and the opening of the new green state-of-the-art version of the legendary folk music venue in downtown Berkeley at 8pm that night.

Joining Peppino will be special guests VOENA, Carlos Reyes, the Pacific Guitar Alliance featuring David Tanenbaum, Larry Ferrara, Marc Teicholtz, Michael Bautista, Jon Mendle, as well as Peppino’s daughter Aleza. Peppino will perform new solo compositions as well as collaborating with the special guest musicians.

Italian born Peppino D’Agostino, virtuoso acoustic guitarist, composer, singer, teacher and all-around entertainer, has released 12 critically acclaimed albums and two DVDs worldwide. He has been featured alongside such greats at Pat Metheny, Mike Stern and John Scofield, written numerous guitar instructional books and videos, and is also a featured guitarist in the United Guitar Ensemble. He’s celebrating his 53rd birthday.
