Berlin Buzzwords - Summer in the city tour June 6, 2010

The tour is organised by Michael Brückner. It starts at 2 pm at Häagen Dazs, S-Bahnhof Hackescher Markt. The tour is open only for registered participants of Berlin Buzzwords (http://berlinbuzzwords.de) conference.
After strolling down the Hackesche Höfe and the Museumsinsel with the Berlin cathedral, the tour is continued to the boulevard "Unter den Linden".
A side trip to Gendarmenmarkt shows the nice ensemble of the German Cathedral, the French Cathedral and the Konzerthaus. Following the Friedrichstrasse and Unter den Linden we arrive at the Pariser Platz surrounded by the famous Brandenburger Gate, the luxury hotel Adlon, and the embassies of the US and France. We go on to the new government quarter with Reichstag, chancellery, and the new central station of Berlin where tour ends.
The journey takes around 2 hours and 5 km to walk. Don't forget sunscreen, it will be a sunny day!
