One hundred years ago there were an estimated 100,000 Asian elephants in Thailand alone. Today, their numbers have declined to 3,500–5,000 due to a multitude of threats ranging from the desire for ivory to the reduction of forest space. The notion of extinction is no longer just a concern; it is the new reality.

Please join us in a Benefit for Boon Lott's Elephant Sanctuary (BLES) - a sanctuary "devoted to creating a safe and natural environment for Thai elephants." The money raised will help them buy additional land to care for rescued elephants. It will be an outdoor, afternoon event spent in celebration of our elephant relations and shared life on this planet, our mother. Together, we can make a difference.

Event is Sponsored by the Smile Family, a group of women led on a journey through Northern Thailand by Jami Sieber in January of 2011. It will include the following:
* Silent Auction and Events throughout the afternoon
* Light Refreshment
* Music performed by: Cellist, Vocalist & Composer, Jami Sieber and Celtic harpist, singer/songwriter, Lorin Grean
