On Saturday, April 25 from 7 pm - midnight, Hospice Care Network will hold its 20th Annual Dinner Celebration at Captain Bill’s Bayview House in Bay Shore, NY to benefit its Children’s and Family Bereavement Programs and Services. The event will honor the Gravina Family for their exceptional support and commitment to Hospice Care Network as well as significant involvement in their community.

The honorees of the 20th Annual Dinner Celebration, the Gravina Family-- Ellen, Mary, Gerard, John, Will, Al, Charlie, Paul and Liz-- have been involved with Hospice Care Network for more than twenty years. Whether hanging lights on the Hospice Tree of Life, stuffing envelopes for a mailing, taking pictures at the annual children’s bereavement camp, moving a piano, doing calligraphy or serving on a special events committee, a Gravina can always be spotted among the other volunteers. In addition, Mary Gravina is the Assistant Vice President for Counseling Services at Hospice Care Network where she continues to fulfill her dream of helping the tiniest of broken hearts. Her dedication and love of children is unparalleled.

To mark the 20th anniversary of this event, HCN has added a unique twist—featuring a “Roaring 20’s” theme. Guests will enjoy a buffet dinner, live entertainment by “Rich Mahogany,” and a live auction. Ticket price per person is $125 ($150 at the door) and sponsorships begin at $25. To make reservations, please contact Ms. Chris Court , Sr. Special Events Coordinator, at (516) 224-6467.

Recognizing that grief is a shared experience, Hospice Care Network embraces the family unit and partners with them individually and collectively on their journey towards healing. The Family Bereavement Program is one of the many programs of care offered by Hospice Care Network. Through individual and family counseling, peer interaction, education and advocacy, Hospice Care Network offers a safe place where children can hope and families can heal.
