Benefit Concert: Tenor Brian Thorsett and Pianist Charles Worth January 16, 2009

Acclaimed classical musicians Brian Thorsett and Charles Worth team up for a benefit concert, performing works by Handel, Schubert, Turina, Lilly Boulanger and Eric Coates.

Mr. Thorsett is a graduate of the San Francisco opera's Merola Opera Program and is a veteran of over 50 operatic roles and 60 concert works; Mr. Worth is the principal organist and Calvary Presbyterian Church, and recently returned from a special invitation to perform at the US Ambassador's residence in Paris.

This concert is part of Calvary's "ConcertConnect" series; a program of monthly concerts featuring top local musicians and benefiting a different Bay Area charity--as selected by the performing artists--each month. This month's concert proceeds will be delivered to Project Read, the adult literacy program within the San Francisco Public Library.

Suggested donation at the door: $10-15; all profits to benefit Project Read.
