The Strings for Education is a silent auction and benefit concert to help build schools in afflicted areas of post-tsunami Japan. Renowned University of Michigan and Eastern Michigan University music school professors such as Anthony Elliott, Diana Gannett, and Derek Weller will be playing, as well as Livonia Symphony Orchestra Concertmaster David Ormai. There will also be a few student groups. There will be a video of the schools that are being built as well as of the disaster itself. Students will be reading translated letters of gratitude from Japan.

The event will be held at Huron High School's Little Theater on Friday, June 8th, 2012, at 7:30PM. We hope to have a good showing for these great professors, all of whom perform rarely.

Order your tickets early for the Strings for Education benefit concert by the 4 Disaster Relief Fund! 100% of the proceeds from this concert will go towards an evening school in afflicted areas of post-tsunami Japan. Tickets are $10 for students pre-sale and $15 for adults and at-the-door.
