Ben's main influences in jazz are in straight-ahead bebop, including Cannonball Adderly, John Coltrane, and Hank Mobley. However, he continues to spread his wings by experimenting with original compositions, reharmonizations of standards, free improvisation, world music, hip-hop, and other forms.
