Ben Cliness' Trio July 7, 2008

Despite studying piano and drums at an early age it wasnt until after high school that Ben began to pursue music seriously. After one year of college Ben transferred to the University of Cincinnatis College Conservatory of Music to study with legendary big band drummer John Von Ohlen. In Cincinnati Ben performed with many great local musicians such as Steve Schmidt, Cal Collins, Kenny Poole, Brad Goode, and Phil Degreg. Ben has also performed with Mark Murphy, trumpeter Barry Reis, and organ great Hank Marr. Moving to New York in 2001, he performs regularly in and around the city as a leader and a sideman
