When performed with passion and proper technique, belly dancing (raqs sharqi) is one of the most captivating forms of dance. Too often parodied or reduced to burlesque, belly dancing is actually one of the world's oldest dance styles, incorporating elements not only from the Middle East, but also from Romani ("Gypsy"), Spanish and North African dance traditions.

Tagine Dining Gallery provides an intimate setting for a classical Egyptian belly dance show, featuring renown performer Jaida. After studying in Egypt, Jaida has danced for many discriminating audiences, including the Saudi Royal Family. Experience the mystery and exoticism of belly dancing, courtesy of a true master of the art form.

Jaida will transport guests on a magical journey through the Middle East with a modern Egyptian routine.

Admission is for the show only.

There is a $15 food and drink minimum. It can be a combination of food, drink or hoohak pikes. Tagine Dining Gallery is located at 221 West 38th Street, New York, NY
