Unlike the overwhelmingly popular Midi Festival, the Beijing Beer and Rock Festival, which is slated to debut during the National Day holiday this year, features both big names and indie acts. The seven-day music festival aims to bridge the gap between mainstream and underground musicians. It will also turn the less-active western part of Beijing into a grand stage, where a sublime lineup metal, emo, punk, folk and rap acts will entertain audiences.
