Bees in Your Backyard July 14, 2011

Local Filmmaker Barbara Lucas and beekeeper Lisa Bashert will present a short film and discussion on how to help bees in your own back yard. "The Pollinator Pyramid" talks about the critical importance of honeybees and other pollinators to our food supply, the dangers they face from Colony Collapse Disorder and other challenges, and the MANY different ways you can help simply by:

A. Increasing Habitat
B. Decreasing Pesticide Use, and
C. Changing Attitudes about pollinators
