Beekeeping 101: Pollinators and You June 28, 2010

Find out about how to support many kinds of pollinators in your own yard and learn the importance of urban honeybees. Through its Local Honey Project, the Ypsilanti Food Co-op has just placed five new hives at the Food Co-op, Growing Hope Center and The Farm at St. Joe's. Lisa Bashert of Ypsi Food Co-op will talk about this project, as well as what you can do to help embattled pollinators short of installing beehives. She is also looking for volunteers beekeepers for the Local Honey Project.
