Beehive Equipment Build! April 3, 2010

Join the volunteer beekeepers of the Ypsilanti Food Co-op's Local Honey Project for our first event--building the hives for our Michigan-adapted honeybee colonies! Just bring yourself and a hammer if you have one. We will build honey "supers" and talk about this summer's Local Honey Project. Want to know more? C'mon out and discover if you have a future as a volunteer beekeeper! The only bees present will be visitors from nearby hives--our own bees won't be ready for their new home until the end of April.
